Cobar, NSW: Day 9
Short entry today. We drove for 12 hours which got us just past the half way mark home to Sydney. The drive was remarkable in that the recent weather events have left the outback green with water everywhere. Huge lakes of floodplains. Not at all the desert I expected but unusual and beautiful. It is huge. Tomorrow we get into Sydney and start planning the next trip. I want to sign off with huge thanks to Lucien who has been the best companion over the last week and a half. We have laughed a lot, chatted a lot and generally had the best time. It could have been very stressful with the weather playing it’s role, but I think we enjoyed the storms almost as much as the motorbike riding. The latter we both agreed was some of the best we have done. So thanks Luce. I hope driving there and back was worth it!
