Angorichina Day 8

Well we had such a good time yesterday that I forgot to do my blog! We wanted to ride a track called the Mt Gill track on Warreena station but, as is the pattern here, it is difficult to get hold of the owner to get permission. This is partly due to the fact that these are mostly working sheep stations lying in amongst national parks. Presumably the farmers are busy farming so don’t answer phone calls. Whatever the case we have no phone coverage and therefore couldn’t call anyway. So we rode the hour plus to get there which was pretty cool as it was mostly on quite rugged outback tracks with everything from sand to washouts to keep things interesting. On the way we pass through the near ghost town of Beltana which carries a good air of derelict about it (in keeping with many attempts at living in the outback ). A similar air of dereliction greeted us at Warreena station. Certainly no humans greeted us. So we buggered off back the way we came. As much fun in reverse. Lunch at Parachilna in a surprisingly posh roadhouse. I had a quite tasty ‘roo burger with a side of flies. It was too posh for chips and the herb infused twice fried potatoes didn’t cut it.
We hadn’t done enough riding so we did an hour and a half loop through Blinman to complete a lovely days riding. Lucien and I have taken to driving the ute to a nearby creek in the afternoon and enjoying nature close up as the afternoon passes. It is really a most relaxing and enjoyable way to pass the afternoon.
Today is our final day in the Flinders. We decided to treat our ourselves to a repeat run of the Mt Samuel track. It was just fantastic doing it in the early morning and not worrying about anything but just enjoying the track. All to soon it was over and after playing on a decent hillclimb just outside Angorichina it was all over as far as the bikes are concerned. We spent the afternoon slowly packing but also enjoying this lovely landscape. Feeling slightly bloated having eaten the remainder of our supplies before heading back. I sign off now to finish our last little bit of wine and a likely good nights sleep. Tomorrow we start the long trip back to Sydney. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1AIk99IPurJC2bavE1OWWqsp5S2Mh5NX2https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1iaLQ_V8XAdSI5JVR2-otnOlGpxwDphZghttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1Mt22PqfjHlDGkmIU-k925jexT-GMmFNWhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=11QiQ5kLa-emKVs2PjQN6iBz6WwoNFhuJhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1m9k-6eW1s-t_TCDSXTOekG6H-O48k7Pahttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=17nQcTv2cLjsOD_WGdqUl5fjAZpwvxkdvhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1lNL1SAckd8sl7Su8x9YDweaU1JN3PNzKhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1hC5fTeajYtgGrwkxg6zMOJic2VBwtYtnhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1x4TmzIOnx-5alVn8r9wNHiqo4JuGcpovhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1YM_TXZMCoDZ_1e7OpYZKXiodDdsduYex
