Angorichina, Mt Samuel, Bungaloo and Brachina gorges:Day 6

We have realised that the arctic front that swept the Flinders was the classic blessing in disguise. Many canceled bookings or went home and so it feels like we have had the Flinders to ourselves. Until tonight we were the only occupants of our the village and had taken to strolling around the grounds on our evening constitutional. We feel invaded by the 3 arrivals today.
The other thing is that the recent rain has left most of the creeks flowing and everything is sprouting into life. We are seeing a very unique Flinders and selfishly it has been delightful to have it almost to ourselves.
Today we started with Mt Samuel track. This is a purpose built 4wd track looping around the 2 Mt Samuels. Apparently two surveyors couldn’t agree. See the is Mt Samuel and Mt Samuel proper , next to it. What we can agree on is that it is the most awesome track. It undulates through bush in a most pleasing way, then a big hill climb through a saddle followed by a descent off the saddle into a great little technical creek. Then back down the adjacent valley on an ever changing double track in glorious country. It all ends on a few kilometres of sand river riding down another low gorge. Perfection and the weather too.
Then a long transport via lunch at Blinman and in the afternoon the Bungeroo and Brachina gorges. Usually this is heavily trafficked which can detract from riding through gorges with 580 million year walls. Not today. We had it to ourselves, seeing maybe 4 other lucky travelers. It really is the most beautiful route following temporary pasture, then through hills with conifers dotted all over them, reminiscent of Colorado.
The gorges were stunning and fun riding across the multiple creek crossings. Brachina was spectacular with its red rock walls and once out of the gorges a quick blast along a classic outback style road. Straight and disappearing into a flat horizon. We finished with the final gorge ride to base. Now familiar but still fun. Another awesome day. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1CflX0hFCOeUF8MFWQ2lq5ESu0f6vVDpIhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1QEvbg8HVfYiC2srtUQTTf9dSK9_PUYjGhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1uxw0HD2kgr9VRSI3nX9Nd4qi20AytjzRhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1Q9xpQuXYzs5L6EOrJqsNg_HkL45hK01Mhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1gQOIXJYAD3pHJJgl8y_LF3QRtUJQI3MPhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1BcDEf_xTJhm1LV63wtL2WqIwmSEz5WZchttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1im5BOmhy7qUw9CzSrvx5URHZYmgySbkohttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1jwM2hqjxLZDyEKeZe4tc65rn6iG-IeKqhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1dNFyVnyiVCeGlTuby1dnoePFj1Ib12EPhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1cp8lyIzl0SmO6VJGymY7RvWlw5jdaepM
